Sometimes a delicious cup of tea can be more than a beverage; it can be also be a healing experience reducing the likelihood of cancer, arthritis, heart disease and even Alzheimer’s, according to research studied by Dr. Joe Lindley.
We are excited to announce a new tea at The Path of Tea that does just that, in partnership with Dr. Joe Lindley, Owner of Higher Health. The main ingredient of Spice Turmeric is turmeric which has the active ingredient curcumin. Curcumin has amazing therapeutic qualities. Recent research has shown that this ingredient is effective in preventing cancer of the GI tract. It has also shown promise in cancers of the esophagus, stomach, colon, prostate, breast and skin. In my office, I have used Turmeric products to treat inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and inflammatory bowel diseases including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s Disease. Turmeric may also reduce the buildup of plaque in the arteries which has been shown to contribute to atherosclerosis and Alzheimer’s. It has even been effective in lowering cholesterol.
Turmeric is an Indian spice commonly found in curries. centuries ago, it found its way to Okinawa and was first used there as a tea. We’re very excited to carry this healing and delicious blend.
